Meet Max!
Facts About Me
Breed: American Quarter Horse
Born: 2011
Program(s): Equine Assisted Counseling, Therapeutic Riding
Year Joined Program: 2021
My Story
I enjoyed a very successful career as a competitive reining horse before becoming injured. I take life at a bit slower pace these days, working daily in the counseling program and will soon be starting work in the therapeutic riding program. I am very protective of my herd, especially the girls.
Special Talents and Skills
Clients who want to work with me often have to seek me out in the herd. I often like to do my own thing and try to avoid conflict with other horses. Clients often comment on my calm, reassuring presence when working with me.
As a riding horse, I am patient and responsive. I am very good at helping new riders build confidence and teaching them how to communicate clearly and effectively.
