My Story
I spent the first part of my life living at a miniature horse ranch. Later, I thought I would live out my days at an animal rescue before being called to come back to work, this time as an equine therapy partner. STEPS needed someone who liked working with young kids and wasn't scared of toys - I fit the bill perfectly!
Special Talents and Skills
I am very calm and patient during play therapy sessions. My young child clients know that they can count on me to support them as they try new things and work out scary or upsetting emotions. I like watching them play and have no fear of balls, drums, or any other strange toys I see them play with during a play therapy session.
I am also a really good at teaching communication skills. When clients work with me, I help them build confidence and develop healthy ways of expressing what they want and need to others.
