Meet Belle!
Facts About Me
Breed: Paint Horse
Born: 2009
Program(s): Equine Assisted Counseling
Year Joined Program: 2021
My Story
I recently joined the program from an equine rescue. When I first arrived, I was often suspicious of people. After the first week, I quickly learned what my new job would be and began trusting the humans around me. I love meeting the clients and enjoy being brushed while they talk. I am currently in training for the therapeutic riding program.
Special Talents and Skills
I am very good at helping clients stay calm and grounded while talking about upsetting things. I often help comfort them by letting them stroke my soft fur.
I am also very social and try to be friends with everyone in my herd. I am a really good model for communicating boundaries to others in a healthy and assertive way.
